Question: Can you please quote me the regulation number that deals with using a 1 x 10mm earth to bond the gas and water supplies when they are situated next to each other?
I know that the cable must not be cut. I cannot find it in the ‘On-Sight Guide’, nor the new regs book – yet I know I’ve read it somewhere in the past.
Answer: Protective equipotential bonding to extraneous conductive parts maybe done individually or collectively.
There is no specific regulation stating this - however Regulation 411.3.1.2 states: ‘main protective bonding conductors complying with Chapter 54 shall connect to the main earth terminal’.
