John Jackson asks a question about the required height of installation for a fire alarm control panel. It has been answered by SELECT (Theme – Regulations & Legislation):

Question: At what height should a fire alarm control panel be installed? Does it matter?
Answer: BS 5839-1 provides recommendations in that the panel should be sited in a readily accessible position, in an area having good lighting and low noise levels, and in an area of low fire risk.
Therefore, a suitable working and display height is assumed.
