This Q & A is one of thousands posted in our Technical Expertise area, and answered on a daily basis by our Voltimum Experts.

Question: In TT systems, can an all-insulated dual RCD board be fitted so that all circuits are covered, or must it be fitted with a main switch and all RCBOs in order to comply with fault considerations and cost?

Answer: A dual RCD board arrangement would be compliant with that arrangement in place.

Please note that all considerations for the regulations must be complied with, and that you, as the designer, are responsible for compliance with the regulations.
