Q & A of the Day - Should I use an RCD as the TT system main isolator?
Question: On my recent yearly assessment visit, I was advised that to comply with the 17th Edition, I would still have to incorporate a time/delay RCD (on a TT System) as the main isolator, even though all the circuits were covered by 30mA RCDs and RCBOs. Could somebody explain why?

Answer: In order to comply with the 17th Edition, where addition protection is required, this needs to be provided by a 30mA RCD or RCBO.
