Question: I have currently installed an SWA cable to supply an exterior sump pump for a septic tank system for a domestic dwelling.

The exterior pump panel has been pre-wired with 30mA RCD protection as factory specification.

Is there a requirement to RCD protect the SWA cable at the house consumer unit?

Answer: An RCD would not be required, provided that the Zs is sufficiently low to meet the disconnection time.
