Q & A of the Day – Can I install 16A EN 60309 sockets as a ring circuit protected to 32A?
Question: Is it OK to install 16A EN 60309 sockets as a ring circuit protected to 32A? I know that the normal circuit configuration would be a 20A radial circuit with unlimited sockets depending on the load etc. I can't find any information regarding whether they can be on a 32A ring circuit.

Answer: Circuits arrangements, other than those detailed in Appendix 8 of the On-Site Guide, are not precluded - provided that the designer takes account of the expected load and conductor sizes etc.
