Question: A customer has requested us to move his consumer unit, but this will mean that the water and gas bonding cable (routed as continuous from water through gas) will not reach as far as the new location. Renewing the cable will be expensive because of its inaccessibility.
Are there any circumstances where bonding cable can be extended by connection?
Answer: Yes - bonding conductors can be extended through the use of propriety connectors in accordance with BS7671:2008.
