If you’re based in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and are renewing your ECS card, take advantage of the new online renewal service – so far thousands of cardholders have used this faster, easier and cheaper way to renew their card.
Why renew online?
- a faster turnaround time than a paper application
- save money on postage costs
- upload a new photo quickly and easily – no need to buy and send passport-style photos
- automatically calculate your correct fee to avoid inaccuracies
- in general a much easier way to renew!
With the introduction of this service, the ECS has broken new ground as the first card scheme to develop an online renewal capability.
If you're not renewing, currently your application for your first ECS card must still be submitted using our paper application form, but we are planning to introduce online initial applications in the future.
