Far reaching Amendments to BS 7671 were issued by the IEE and BSI in June 2001 they are covered in this, the Sixth Edition of the Electricians Guided. More than 100 Regulations have changed and two totally new sections added. The new sections deal with protection against over-voltage and with the precautions necessary when there is particular risk or danger of fire. As in previous editions explanations of the requirements are grouped together by topic and the reader guided through the complexities of

  • Installation requirements and characteristics
  • Installation control and protection
  • Cables, conduits and trunking
  • Earthing
  • CircuitsSpecial installations
  • Inspection and testing

Electricians need to keep up to date with these changes to ensure that their installations do indeed comply with BS7671 Amendments 3 and 4 become compulsory on 1 January 2002 and Amendment 1 (AMD 13628) on 1 February 2002
