Question: I surveyed a building recently in which diazed fuses in screw in holders were installed.
I am recommending replacement.
Is there a code requirement that they be replaced (that I can cite along with my recommendation)?
Answer: Electrical Safety First’s Best Practice Guide 4 has examples of the codes recommended on EICRs - this will be the best place to consider codes from.
There is no specific code for the use of diazed fuses, as in some installations, these could be acceptable.
