From room-by-room heating control to wider smart home integration, Drayton’s Wiser 2nd Generation system gives electricians more ways to deliver convenience, energy efficiency and control for their customers.
At the heart of Wiser 2nd Generation is the HubR, available in one, two and three-channel variants to suit different heating and hot water configurations. Working alongside the Wiser Home app, it enables homeowners to manage their heating remotely, create personalised schedules and control a growing range of smart home devices.
Further enhancements with Wiser 2nd Generation also include smoke alarms, window and door sensors, motion sensors, water leakage sensors, temperature and humidity sensors, and lighting and blind control micro modules. These devices can be used to monitor the home and create automations, such as adjusting heating when a window is opened or scheduling lighting to suit household routines – ultimately helping to make homes more sustainable and use energy in a more efficient manner, without impacting comfort or convenience.

Enhanced smart radiator thermostat
The latest addition to the range is the Wiser 2nd Generation Smart Radiator Thermostat, designed to deliver precise room-by-room heating control with a series of improvements for installers and homeowners.
Manufactured in Britain, the upgraded thermostat operates with an ultra-quiet noise level helping to minimise disruption in living spaces. It is compatible with major radiator valve manufacturers, features a simple twist control for activating Boost, and offers more than two years of battery life when using the supplied alkaline batteries under Drayton’s standard operating conditions. Compatibility with Ni-MH rechargeable batteries also provides an alternative power option.
As part of the wider Wiser system, the radiator thermostat supports room-by-room scheduling and remote temperature control, helping households heat their homes more intelligently.
Greater flexibility with Matter Bridge
Wiser 2nd Generation has also gained Matter Bridge functionality, opening up further opportunities for integration with other smart home ecosystems.
Available through the Wiser Home app, the functionality allows compatible Wiser Zigbee devices to connect to Matter-supported platforms, including Apple Home, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. This means homeowners can access compatible Wiser devices through their preferred smart home platform and incorporate them into wider automations alongside devices from other manufacturers.
For electricians, this creates greater flexibility when designing connected home solutions, allowing Wiser’s heating expertise to sit alongside a broader range of smart home products. The Wiser Home app remains the central platform for managing the system’s heating and energy management features, while Matter provides additional options for control and integration.
With its expanding product portfolio, upgraded radiator thermostat and broader interoperability, Wiser 2nd Generation gives installers a versatile solution for customers looking to go beyond traditional heating control and embrace a more connected home.
