DEHN UK celebrates it’s 30th anniversary

The month of September officially marks DEHN UK's 30th anniversary! This represents a monumental milestone for us as an organisation and subsidiary to the global DEHN group.

For three decades, we have taken the insurmountable knowledge accumulated by our founders and applied it to the distinct industry landscapes of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales.

From our beginnings in 1996, starting out in Meltham, and most recently expanding into our Leeds headquarters in 2024, it's been an incredible journey of growth, innovation, and partnership.

When DEHN UK opened its doors in 1996, the world looked very different. Most businesses relied on desktop PCs running Windows 95, internet access came through noisy dial-up modems, mobile phones were primarily used for calls and texts, and technologies we now take for granted simply didn't exist.

Over the past 30 years, technology has transformed how we live, work and communicate – and DEHN UK has been there to help protect the infrastructure and equipment that make these innovations possible.

What started as a small UK operation has grown into a dedicated team supporting customers across the country with lightning protection, surge protection, earthing, and electrical safety solutions.

DEHN UK wouldn't be where it is today without the incredible people who have helped shape our journey over the last 30 years. Thank you to our customers, partners, and colleagues - past and present - who have taken part and supported us on this thirty-year journey. We couldn't have done it without you!

As part of our anniversary celebrations, we held two unique (and completely free) CPD seminars; one covering Data Lines for SPDs hosted by our technical advisor Robin Earl, and another covering our bespoke lightning protection planning and risk assessment tools – DEHNplan and DEHNrisk respectively – held by our Senior Technical Support Engineer Jonathan Barnes.
