After 32 years with Fotolec Technologies, David Payne has announced his retirement from the company, with effect from June 30, 2014.
David who has held the position of Chairman and CEO for the past 14 years has steered the business to the pre-eminent position it now enjoys as Europe’s leading manufacturer and supplier of fragment retention coatings for lamps.
David’s brother Chris Payne will succeed him as Chairman and CEO of this long and well established business, to continue traditional family leadership and association with the Fotolec name.
Chris has been with Fotolec Technologies since leaving college and is well versed in the technology and the marketing of its products, where he has successfully created the company’s market leading GlassGuard brand, now widely recognised throughout Europe.
David will be available for consultation and will help to provide a seamless handover in the successful operation of the business over the next few months.
In taking up his new role, Chris commented that he is looking forward to leading the company and building upon the winning formula that he and his brother have established over many years after their father Reg retired.
Chris wished his brother all success and happiness for the future and thanked him for the contribution he has made over a considerable number of years.
