Dataworks labelling system comes with software

Published: 5 June 2003 Category: News

MK Electric has launched a Dataworks labelling system that enables the user to produce labels for the identification of links within a structured cabling system. 12 NOV 2002

The Dataworks labelling system with Windows-based software comes complete with a range of blank labels for use in patch panels, cabinets, data outlets and on cables.

Two versions of the software are available: Freeware, which is intended as an introductory version with limited features, and Professional, which has additional features. The extra features available on the Professional software include a save and re-editing facility, the ability to use different font styles and sizes, and to incorporate symbols. The Professional software also enables information on the labels to be exported directly into a Fluke Networks DSP-4300 tester for easier and quicker testing of an installation.

Labels for use on MK Dataworks patch panels and cabinets are self-adhesive, polyester, and laser-printable.

A special starter pack is available comprising one sheet of patch panel labels, eight sheets of cable labels and one sheet of outlet labels, plus Freeware software. The Freeware software is being distributed to all authorised installers, authorised stockists and authorised training centres. Others who want to obtain Freeware should call 0870 240 3385 and quote ‘Dataworks Freeware’. Professional software and blank labels are available from all authorised training centres, authorised stockists and electrical wholesalers.
