Creda's Supaslim Antidote To The Cold Winter And Chilly Economic Climate

Published: 5 July 2011 Category: News

Britain has just emerged from one of the coldest winters in living memory only to find itself in a political climate of drastic cut backs and economic uncertainty. So in 2010 it is more important than ever to find the most effective economic and low cost heating solutions possible for our homes.

Creda's Supaslim Antidote To The Cold Winter And Chilly Economic Climate

Creda’s TSR Supaslim Combi heater combines both economic and low-cost storage heating with an independently thermostat-controlled fan heater. So it is effectively two heaters in one. The built-in fan can provide heat on its own, or if there is a repeat of last winter’s arctic conditions, it can be used in combination with the storage heater to give a rapid boost to room temperature. The Supaslim Combi combines an economy tariff rate storage heater with a fast and responsive Warmflow fan heater for instant room heating. It also includes the Sensamatic system so that the fully automatic storage heater output means the room temperature is comfortably maintained throughout the day. For maximum flexibility, the Warmflow fan heater can be easily and manually adjusted using the thermostatic control which is accurate to within 0.5 degrees centigrade. The Supaslim Combi, as it name suggests, is the slimmest storage combination heater available. The Warmflow fan is quiet and operates at a low velocity and for safety all the controls are secured behind a lockable flap. The hydraulic input charge control thermostat provides auto-set input charge control and the fan heater ratings can, during installation, be set on full or half load. In terms of technical specification, the elements in the storage heater are mineral insulated stainless steel sheathed for long life. The insulation is state-of-the-art opacified silicaceous aerogel combined with mineral fibre. The storage core is made from a very high density iron oxide compound. The controls, which are hydraulic head temperature compensated, are room and storage core temperature sensitive and have auto-set charge control. The Supaslim Combi has two levels of thermal safety overheat protection and the unit is connected via a 230/240V AC single phase electricity supply. Martin Shepherd, Creda Heating’s sales director says it’s the right economic combination solution for home heating: “The flexibility, economy and combined power of our Supaslim Combi make it the obvious answer for home heating. The slimmest storage combination on the market, it quietly but powerfully provides accurate and constant control of the room temperature – and, for those bitterly cold winter days it has the rapid and responsive Warmflow fan heater which can provide a highly effective boost.”
