Creda's Eco-Response - An Intelligent Solution For 'Greener' Warm Homes

Published: 5 July 2011 Category: News

The pressure is on all of us to reduce energy consumption, especially now that the government's new chief energy scientist has said that the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions are worse than previously thought. Fortunately, Creda Heating’s Eco-Response intelligent heating technology provides a good solution for housing associations and builders.

Creda's Eco-Response - An Intelligent Solution For 'Greener' Warm Homes

Developed to help meet the needs of Part L 2006 Building Regulations and give enhanced SAP scores, Creda’s Eco-Response is an integrated storage, direct acting heater system, with simple yet sophisticated one-touch electronic controls. The heaters have been designed to give constant low level background heating, which can be boosted on demand at any time. This means that the fabric of the building does not cool down completely overnight, or when occupants are out during the day. When it’s time for the rooms to be warmed to a comfortable level for normal family use, re-heating is quicker as the shell of the building is already warm. Martin Shepherd, Creda Heating sales director, explains: “Economic off-peak electricity is used for the stored, background heating, while radiant heating is used to lift temperatures rapidly on demand. “Finished in white with a grey base to match any decor, Eco-Response heaters are good-looking and no bigger than conventional wet radiators. They are also designed for rapid assembly, which is useful in keeping installation costs down, and there’s further savings to be had as annual maintenance checks are unnecessary.” There are three models in the Eco-Response range, with nominal outputs of 0.7kW, 1kW and 1.5kW. They can be supported with an optional four zone pilot wire central controller. This allows seven day programming of comfort/setback time settings to multiple pilot wire linked heaters in up to four separate zones. Creda is dedicated to heating the nation using low carbon electricity, for lower carbon foot prints and lower lifetime costs of ownership. The company is at the forefront of development with the latest technology. All products are backed by Creda‘s design specification service and after-sales support.
