Steel wire tray cable containment specialist, Cablofil, has launched Cablosoft , a bespoke piece of software designed to make job specification quicker, easier and more accurate. The announcement is a further indication of the basket tray company’s aim of providing effective, efficient and innovative solutions to the cable management industry.
Cablosoft has been designed to enable electrical contractors and consultants to gain accurate specifications for Cablofil’s steel wire tray system products, amounts and accessories they require for any application by simply inputing the details of the cable containment job into the new software. The software will provide them with a full breakdown of the cable management products and quantities they need to effectively and efficiently deliver the works.
In addition to detailing the steel wire tray products and quantities needed to undertake their work, users can choose whether to use the software’s ‘recommendation’ tool which suggest products that best suit the application. If the customer opts to use the ‘recommendation’ tool they can then modify the estimate by using the ‘basket’ tool and selecting their preferred cable containment product choices.
Once the inputting is complete, users are able to print off or email the basket tray specification to get a quote from Cablofil or from their own distributor. The information can also be used as a supporting document to tender submissions.

The Cablosoft software will be available to download from Cablofil’s website (www.cablofil.co.uk). As an additional service, Cablofil will be providing training in the use of Cablosoft as well as troubleshooting support as users familiarise themselves with the new software.
