Bardic's solution to speedier location of fires

Published: 4 June 2003 Category: News

4-June-03 - Ideal for large public premises with a high concentration of people in them, such as large pubs, clubs and schools is Bardic's Zircon Plus single loop analogue addressable control panel, as displayed on Novar's stand (Q40) at the recent IFSEC

p>The Zircon Plus by Bardic has been designed to monitor up to 16 zones and because it is analogue addressable the source of an activation can be identified much faster than with a conventional detection system, so enabling the Fire Brigade to locate a fire that much quicker.

The panel uses the well-established two- core detection loop principle, leading to less cabling than would be needed with a conventional system yet providing additional facilities for both the end user and maintenance/commissioning personnel.

'Intelligent' and cost-effective:

The panel can be programmed to control building services such as ventilation, door release, public address and sounders in an intelligent manner in line with how a fire is developing.

The use of a single 12V battery (converted to 24V via the panel) produces further cost savings and contributes to the panel's compact design, without any loss in required performance. Advanced facilities, such as alarm organising (delayed sounder responses) and day/night selective disablement of individual devices can be used to substantially reduce false alarms.

Conforming to the requirements of EN54 Parts 2 and 4, Zircon Plus Single Loop is manufactured to the high levels of quality associated with all Bardic products.
