Two of Aurora’s popular panel ranges have had upgrades this year! Both the EdgeLite™ and BackLite™ ranges of flat and suspended panels have been improved and now feature greater benefits.
EdgeLite Flat Panels
In the PRO range, the EdgeLite™ LED flat panels have been upgraded to produce more lumens - 130lm/W - and are now TP(a) rated. This rating covers polycarbonate diffusers and means that the material used will self-extinguish and will not still be glowing or flaming for more than five seconds after a flame has been removed.
With a high quality PMMA light guide designed to prevent yellowing, these edge-lit panels have a power factor greater than 0.9 and have been engineered to ensure maximum light output and complete uniformity. Comprising a flicker free driver, these panels have a UGR19 glare rating and are suitable for 15mm and 24mm T-bar ceilings. They come with a 5 year warranty.
EdgeLite Suspended Panels
Furthermore, Aurora’s EdgeLite™ range of LED Edge-Lit suspended panels, which feature a flicker free driver and a lightweight slim aluminium frame, now deliver 100lm/W with a power factor greater than 0.9 and a UGR 19 rating. Light distribution is 70% down and 30% upward, with light distributed being 2800 and 1200 lumens respectively. These also come with a 5 year warranty.
BackLite™ 600mm x 600mm Panels
The new next generation BackLite™ is an innovative TP(a) rated backlit LED flat 600mm x 600mm panel. It has been designed as a cost-effective option for commercial lighting with no light guide and no chance of a yellowing PMMA lens that is placed around the LEDs, providing complete uniformity of light. At 35mm deep, the BackLite is over 75% shallower than the original LED backlit panels, meaning they can be shipped and stored just like standard edge-lit panels, which hopefully assists our wholesalers with both storage and display options.
Delivering 100lm/W, meaning it’s a great energy saver, and with a UGR 19 rating, this panel is suitable for installation in 15mm and 24mm T-bar ceilings. It is popular with a wide range of companies who are keen to install it into applications such as offices, schools, universities and healthcare spaces.
