Emerson Network Power has extended the Liebert HIROSS range of Hiwall TT high performance packaged air conditioners by the addition of the 5 and 6 kW models:
This gives the range a refrigeration capacity span from 5 to 21 kW and aims to provide a complete solution to mobile network cooling problems.
Specifically designed for outdoor installation, Hiwall TT direct expansion units have a built-in air-cooled condenser and air output from the top, ideally suited to the specialist cooling requirements of mobile telecommunication sites. The low outdoor noise levels of these units render them especially suitable for wireless networks and they offer outstanding efficiency and reliability, extending the life of telecom network nodes. This is because of the meticulous design of the refrigeration circuitry, components and airflow, with ideal temperature conditions guaranteed for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Heat density growth is a big issue:

Hiwall TT offers a variety of attractive features. The freecooling function utilises outdoor fresh air to cool the site when weather conditions permit, which significantly reduces running costs. The emergency cooling function ensures ideal temperature conditions inside the site even in the case of mains power failure. The evaporator fan section, the freecooling section and the control can be fed by a 48 V emergency supply from batteries. Finally, the robust steel cabinet protected by special vandal-proof screws is optimised to allow reliable operation even in extreme environments.
