Moss Electrical becomes sole UK distributor for Chinese solar inverters

The long-standing electrical wholesaler is now the sole distributor of the Hosola range, which will be distributed throughout the UK and Ireland from Moss’ three national distribution facilities in Dartford, Manchester and Bridgend, South Wales.

The multi-year deal covers Hosola’s full range of inverters, 2500TL – 4200TL. Solar inverters convert the variable DC output of a solar photovoltaic (solar PV) panel into AC that can be fed into a commercial electrical grid or used by a local, off-grid electrical network, or domestic arrangement. It is a critical part of a solar PV system, allowing the use of ordinary commercial appliances.

Solar inverters are specially adapted for use with PV arrays, and all of the Hosola range inverters come complete with a five-year product warranty. The warranty is an important factor, not least because Chinese solar PV power manufacturers have often been accused of dumping low-cost (and sometimes poor-quality) products into the UK and Europe. One result was that at one point, the EC imposed temporary anti-dumping levies on some Chinese solar panel imports. A five-year warranty should go a long way in providing confidence to both electrical installers and end-users that Hosola solar inverters will be of suitably high quality. Extended warranties are also available.

All Hosola solar inverters are G83 and G59 approved and certified by many other international authorities such as: VDE0126 (Europe), AS4777 (Australia), CQC (China) and many more. G83 is the MCS and UK approved rating for solar inverters.

Hosola New Energy Co Ltd, one of China’s fastest growing manufacturers of solar inverters, is a subsidiary company of Shenzhen Jianpeng group, based in Suzhou China, and it serves primarily the real estate and engineering sectors. In 2013 the company reported turnover equivalent to £70m.
