Question: I have been asked by a leading coachbuilder to inspect and test its mobile 'units', as described in Section 712 of the 17th Edition. How do I certify this installation? Do I use the existing Installation Certification 5 page, or is there a specific certificate in order to comply?
Answer: Section 712 deals with Solar Photovoltaic systems, so do you mean Section 717 - Mobile or Transportable units?
Regardless - if you are carrying out the initial verification, then you should issue an Electrical Installation Certificate. If it is a periodic inspection, then you should issue a Periodic Inspection Report.
