Scolmore Group achieves EcoVadis Silver Sustainability Medal

This achievement reflects a substantial improvement in Scolmore Group’s sustainability performance and places the organisation among the top 15% of over 150,000 companies globally assessed by EcoVadis. Scolmore Group’s overall sustainability score increased significantly – from 66/100 in 2024, to 78/100 this year - surpassing the threshold for Silver recognition under EcoVadis’ rating methodology.

A leading global provider of business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis evaluates companies across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Recognised across more than 250 industries and 200 countries, EcoVadis assessments help organisations measure and improve their sustainability practices throughout their value chains. The EcoVadis rating has become a trusted benchmark for corporate responsibility, used by thousands of companies worldwide to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable business.

The EcoVadis’ business sustainability ratings are based on international sustainability standards such as the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and the ISO 26000 standard. The ratings provide an evidence-based analysis on performance and an actionable roadmap for continuous improvement.

Medals are awarded on the basis of the following percentile benchmarks: Platinum Top 1% (99+ percentile), Gold Top 5% (95+ percentile), Silver Top 15% (85+ percentile) and Bronze Top 35% (65+ percentile). The Silver Medal underscores Scolmore Group’s commitment to embedding ESG (environmental, social and governance) considerations into its business operations, culture and long-term strategy.

Scolmore Group’s ratings recorded an improvement across all four core themes demonstrating a robust and comprehensive approach to corporate sustainability.

Responsible for driving the EcoVadis sustainability initiative at Scolmore Group is Manuela Rubino Courtney, Group Legal and Compliance Manager.
