Question: I have been asked to carry out a Periodic Inspection Report (PIR) of a domestic dwelling where most lights are downlights. The lights have no form of fire protection.

What recommendation code would be required for the report, and where can I get information to back the recommendation up?

Answer: I suggest that Part B of the Building Regulations would be a good starting point.
