Question: Does the requirements for electrical inspection and testing apply to factories and production lines? Or is it intended for domestic and commercial only?
Is there any legal requirement to carry it out in a factory?
If so who can enforce these requirements?
Answer: BS 7671 applies to all electrical installations and therefore factories are included.
One very good reason for inspecting and testing in a factory would be to demonstrate compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
