Question: Is it OK to run 25mm tails in ducting under the ground from the fuse board to outside the meter box? Note that the length of the tails is 7/8 meters and they connect into a KMF switch in the meter box.

I can't really put the switch anywhere else....

Answer: If the meter tails are run above three metres long, and are additionally mechanically protected, then an isolator should be installed at the origin of those tails to ensure adequate safety, and to be able to work on them.
