Q & A of the Day – Am I missing something with this oven circuit installation?

Question: I have a 2.6kW oven for which I have a 16A Type B RCBO control run in 2.5mm twin and earth cable.

I came to this decision by using the following equation: 2600 / 230 = 11.3

So I know that I have the correct size breaker and I know that the cable has a current capacity to carry that size breaker.

I also have a 20A double-pole isolator in the system.

But I wonder whether there is anything more I should have applied?

Answer: Your proposal is compliant with current Wiring Regulations - BS7671:2008 (2011) - regarding its design criteria, so there are no further requirements to be included.
