Brian Smithers, 34, has been appointed managing director of WF Electrical. The appointment sees something of a homecoming for Smithers who was born a short distance from WF's headquarters in Dagenham, Essex:
Bringing extensive distribution experience to the role, Smithers served 12 years with The Pipe Centre, the commercial distribution arm of the Wolseley Group, where he worked his way up from the trade counter to become sales director.
A long term admirer of WF, indeed he was once a regular customer, Smithers intends to reinvigorate the passion for customer service that has always been at the heart of WF's success. "I'm proud to be able to lead a dedicated team at a company with such a rich heritage," Smithers enthused. "I will in due course be developing a number of initiatives designed to carry on the traditions of WF, particularly the company's reputation for service", he concluded.
