2009 ECA Edmundson Award - Electrical Apprentice of the Year

At a luncheon at the Copthorne Tara Hotel, London on 22nd July 2009, Matthew Williams, of P & R Hurt of Yeovil, was named as the 2009 ECA Edmundson Apprentice of the Year.

Matthew had been chosen from over 1000 eligible candidates coming through a series of regional and national heats.

The presentation, made by Managing Director Douglas McNair, consisted of a cheque for £1000 and a Contractor's Kit from Edmundson and a week's study trip to Limoges kindly sponsored by Legrand who were represented by Sales Director Tony Marston and Area Sales Manager Richard Degg.

Commemorative certificates were also presented to the Directors of P & R Hurt.

Martin Bailey, President of the Electrical Contractors' Association, congratulated Matthew and thanked Edmundson Electrical for supporting the ECA Apprentice Scheme for the past 34 years.

Regional winners will receive their award at luncheons hosted by Edmundson Regional Directors.
