Q & A of the Day - Can single insulation protect LV/ELV circuit separation in trunking?
This question, and thousands of others, have been answered by our Voltimum Experts on a daily basis in the Technical Expertise area.

Question: Does the basic LV insulation on single conductors constitute sufficient protection for the separation of AC LV from DC ELV circuits, if those circuit conductors are run adjacent in conduit or trunking?

Answer: All conductors installed in the same conduit or trunking should have the same voltage rating.

There may also be additional requirements for DC circuits, and you should check the system manufacturer's instructions accordingly.
