Q & A of the Day - Why does this freezer fuse keep blowing?
Question: We have a large walk in freezer that has given us no problems in the past. However, over the last few weeks it has been blowing the 13A fuse in the plug every couple of days.

What could be the problem? Where should I start looking?

Answer: This could be caused by a number of things. However, likely examples include the compressor motor, which could be faulty or seizing when it gets hot. Alternatively, the compressor mechanism could be jamming. Both such faults could result in excessive load and the fuse blowing.
