Case Study  Thistle Atlantic Tower Hotel     Megaman’s 7W GU10’s Guides The Way at Thistle Atlantic Tower Hotel     Megaman’s  7W  PAR16  dimming GU10 lamps have been used as part of  a  retrofit  lighting  project  within the  Thistle  Atlantic  Tower  Hotel, Liverpool.    The  4-star  hotel  is located  opposite  the  Royal  Liver Building  and  by  the  city’s  famous Pier Head with spectacular views of the  historical  city  buildings  and views of the River Mersey.  

Case Study  Thistle Atlantic Tower Hotel     Lamps Used        7W GU10 Dimming                                     For more information on this project or the Megaman lamps used please contact us:   Website:  www.megamanuk.com              Telephone: 01707 386 000  Email:  [email protected]     Follow us at megamanukltd          Original  corridor  lighting  was  a  mixture  of halogen and CFL lamps both of which were not  performing  up  to  the  standards  of modern day lighting with lamp failure and excessive  heat  emission.      The  refurbishment  of  the  hotel  lighting  was carried  out  by  KJS  Electrical  who  worked with  local  electrical  wholesalers  Parr Electrical  who  specified  and  supplied  the Megaman  lamps.    Following  a  general lighting  review  by  Parr  Electrical,  it  was agreed that a simple change to Megaman’s 7W  PAR16  dimming  GU10  lamps  in corridors  alone  would  provide  a  saving  of £4,000  which  equates  to  32848kw  and 17.87 tonnes of CO 2.   The 7W PAR16 GU10  dimming lamps have a colour temperature of 2800k, 35 degree angle beam and offer 50,000 hours life.    Annual energy savings  £4,000  32,848kw  17.87 tonnes of CO 2
