4 3 Step one: Choose your panelboard Step three: Choose the outgoing device Step two: Choose the incoming device Your seven steps to smart panel board creation One of the most important advantages you’ll see in Powerpact 4 panelboard is our focus on system solutions. Our panelboards are designed to maximise the capabilities of our overcurrent protection devices, metering options and other panelboard accessories. We also offer power monitoring and communications systems as simple or complex as your application requires. You can choose to communicate with a single PC, multiple PCs or over the internet.Start with a simple monitoring and communications system and expand as your power system grows.Powerpact 4 is available in many styles to suit various applications and can be wall mounted and floor standing from 250A up to 1600Amps current rating. We have a complete line of circuit breakers specifically designed and adapted for use in Powerpact 4 panelboards. You can select the circuit breaker with thermal-magnetic trip, or electronic trip or MICROLOGIC™ trip, which combines the electronic technology of electronic trip circuit breakers with advanced features such as communications and power metering and monitoring capabilities. The MICROLOGIC trip unit will allow the circuit breaker to communicate with other circuit breakers, to gather power information, monitor events and remotely control breakers based on predetermined conditions, leading to substantial savings in electrical system operating costs. All Powerpact 4 panelboards feature a choice of moulded case circuit breakers, A-switch disconnectors, fusible switches or direct connection. You can select thermal-magnetic current limiting, electronic or MICROLOGIC® circuit breakers in a configuration designed to meet your needs. 250A up to 1600Ampscurrent rating £ Our devices can directly lead to cost savings 4 Powerpact offers a choice of four incoming devices
4 Step five: Choose the metering facility Step four: Choose residual current modules Powerpact 4 has a diversity of metering options including the advanced capabilities of the POWERLOGIC® monitoring and control system and MICROLOGIC® trip units. The trip units offer increasing levels of functionality and are interchangeable, enabling you to upgrade equipment easily as your needs expand. Micrologic trip unit The main measurement can be displayed on the LCD screen of the trip unit on the incoming or outgoing 4 pole breaker or on FDM121 which also displays the demand, power quality, maximum and minimum values along with alarms, history and maintenance indicators on a 96x96 unit. Current transformer Current transformers are needed when using meters. Current transformers with or without voltage measurement output can be directly fitted to the circuit breaker saving you space in the board. Individual transformers can also be fitted for single phase or double pole breakers. Powerlogic meter The POWERLOGIC system provides different electrical parameter values, which can be displayed locally on meters or remotely on personal computers. The standard PM750 displays all basic electrical parameters and THD in a 96X96 display. The meter features a pulse output to link to BMS via a Twido or SEMS, and also an RS485 for Modbus communication to provide a better understanding and managing of the power information which can substantially increase your system efficiency and lower life cycle costs. On-board event and data logging, waveform capture and automated controls are also provided by different range of the POWERLOGIC system. You can further enhance the flexibility of Powerpact 4 panelboards with options, such as equipment ground fault protection with MICROLOGIC® electronic trip circuit breakers. On 100A up to 630A circuit breakers, an equipment ground fault module is available with two levels of protection to give you the backup protection you need for power-critical operations. 630A Our residual current modules offer breakers from 100A to 600A FDM121 Micrologic
5 Step six: Choose extension boxes Extension boxes can be mounted on either side or on top of the panelboard. Once you’ve determined the number of meters and FDM displays, choose the extension boxes. The box includes all necessary cable looms and the auxiliary busbar which provides the 240V supply to the meter. 240V Providing adequate supply to the meters Step seven: Monitor and improve Now Schneider Electric not only offers the most adaptable panelboard in the industry, but the smartest one as well!Effective electrical distribution is more than just the transmission of power. Powerlogic system offers a complete power metering and monitoring function for optimal management of your electrical installation. Start with a simple monitoring and communications system and expand as your power system grows. The easy to use tool, Powerlogic EGX300 is a web based solution for easy implementation; no dedicated computer or software installation is required. User benefits: • Allocate energy costs to departments or processes • Reduce energy cost • Reduce peak demand surcharges • Reduce power factor penalties • Identify billing discrepancies • Leverage existing infrastructure capacity and avoid over-building • Meet environmental obligations and qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowance. Information delivered: • Breaker status (Micrologic) • Electrical parameters • Energy consumption • Comparison of energy consumption 300 PowerLogic EGX300 - your web based monitoring solution
6 How it works: The Powerlogic webserver EGX300 logs the data from up to 32 directly connected and daisy-chained low and medium voltage metering, monitoring and protection devices. Devices can be on the same panel or on different panels, as long as the maximum distance of the standard is respected. Your existing LAN infrastructure can be used to reduce communications wiring and network management costs. Real time data from up to 64 devices with a metering facility can be viewed using the Powerlogic gateway EGX100. Access historical information from multiple computers via any Microsoft compatible web browser. Plot historical data, to view the energy used over a specific period of time compare the usage of different departments, anticipate your next energy bill, and define actions to save energy. Automatically e-mail or FTP selected logged data to your computer for additional analysis.
