Ogden’s Tobacco’ building in Everton, Merseyside is a historic Grade II listed building which was recently converted into 19 apartments by social housing provider Liverpool Mutual Home. Working closely with the contracting division of Liverpool Mutual Homes, Housing Maintenance Solutions, EnviroVent worked closely with the client to ensure the recommended product that was specified would not only improve the air quality within the apartments and control the humidity levels to prevent condensation and mould issues but also help reduce the heating costs for the residents. EnviroVent were specified as the ventilation supplier by Housing Maintenance Solutions, who form the contracting arm of Liverpool Mutual Homes to improving indoor air quality whilst helping to control humidity levels and protect the fabric of the building from condensation. Client Liverpool Mutual Homes have been specifying EnviroVent ventilation systems for the past 12 years, so the organisation was confident of the reliability and quality of the product and the service delivered by EnviroVent. Ogden’s Tobacco factory was a historic Grade II listed building, built in 1899 which employed around 2500 people when it was owned by Ogden’s Tobacco Company. The company closed its door on St. James’ Street in Liverpool in March 2007 and since then the building which is an impressive example of the late 19th century...
