Question:
HI,
I've been asked to provide an electrical wiring installation for a catering van. What special considerations would there be for earth and bonding requirements?
Thanks
Answer:
A catering van would fall under normal regulations parts one to six and in addition section 717 Mobile or Transportable Units.
Some of the regulations in section 717 you would need to consider include:
- Regulation 717.313 lists the methods permissible to supply the unit.
- Regulation 717.411.3.1 Protective equipotential bonding.
- 717.411.4 Restrictions on the use of a PME earthing facility.
