Sinnadurai Sripadmanaban asks this question, which concerns the number of 13A sockets allowed with ring and radial electrical circuits, and also permitted circuit breaker ratings and wire sizes. It has been answered by SELECT (Theme – Regulations & Legislation):

Question: With the use of radial and ring circuits for 13A sockets, is there a limit for the maximum number of sockets in a given area, and for a given circuit breaker rating, and for a given wire size?
Answer: Firstly, the floor area served by both ring and radial final circuits is determined by the known load, or the estimated load.
Note that guidance on ring and radial final circuit arrangements is provided in Appendix 15 of BS 7671:2008 (2011) and Appendix H of the IET On-site Guide (Fifth Edition 2011).
