8 Flat-Ray Technology from OSRAM is the key to optimized light distribution Special optics allow for a homogeneous light distribution between individual LEDs even when the pitch between these LEDs is large. Overall, this means you need less LEDs for a perfect result. Moreover, thanks to the large beam angle of 155°, the distance between the LED module and the backlit surface can be reduced. This means even small and ﬂ at installations, e.g. channel letters, can be perfectly backlit. 9 Backlighting | Mounting proﬁles Mounting proﬁles for quick, easy and precise installation Mounting provides the basis for the efﬁciency and economy of the entire system Time and precision play an important role in light installa-tions. Consequently, a quick mounting process, which is optimally supported by mounting proﬁles from OSRAM, is a proven means to reduce costs. For installation, the LED modules are simply snapped into the proﬁles which are then bolted down with screws driven through pre-drilled mounting holes. Thanks to the regular distances between the drill holes in the mounting proﬁles, the modules can be placed at even pitches without the need of measuring. Within the proﬁles, however, they can be moved back and forth ﬂexibly, as required. The even arrangement of the modules therefore ensures a homogeneous illumination of the entire surface. Moreover, thanks to the strong aluminum proﬁles, the entire construc-tion is very robust and maintenance-friendly.
