Following in the steps of his father, John Horwell has worked in the electrical industry all his life. Born and raised in Southall, Middlesex, John started out as an apprentice electrician.
Like his father, he worked his way up the career ladder "e;bit by bit"e;, eventually becoming Company Director of Watson & May Ltd, an electrical contracting firm based in Ealing. His job has him often working with the Local Authority, schools, fire stations and colleges. No two days are the same. "e;Things change on the strength of a phone call,"e; said John.
John found Voltimum through the NICEIC newsletter. In the past, John used the Voltimum website at work only, but now he has brought it home with him. He finds the site useful to access manufacturer"e;s data, new products, new updates and particularly enjoyed reading the Prysmian FP cable article.
Now living with his wife and two girls in Berkshire, in his spare time John likes to escape away to the South Coast as it is a "e;complete contrast to London"e; where he enjoys the waves of the sea.
