Sustainability and sustainable homes

7 April 2008

April's 2008 edition of VoltiBULLETIN is about sustainable homes, including microCHP and heat pump units, and more besides.

This VoltiBULLETIN is also concerned with ‘smart’ homes, where the in-built ‘intelligence’ can help save energy. Included is the so-called ‘smart’ electricity metering, which can enable householders to save yet more energy.

Finally, VoltiBULLETIN looks in brief at the opportunities offered to switched-on electrical contractors by Assisted Living equipment installed in homes, care homes, schools etc to help the elderly, infirm or handicapped live as normal a life as possible.

This VoltiBULLETIN relating to sustainability has been certified as suitable for CPD purposes by the Construction CPD Certification Service.
