Completion of acquisition of Airtricity Holdings Ltd

Scottish and Southern Energy plc (“SSE”) has completed the acquisition of Airtricity Holdings Ltd (“Airtricity”), following the agreement announced on 4 January 2008. The enterprise value of the business being acquired is €1,455m.
