The growing trend to make external electrical installations outside the home, either in the rear garden or on the front, can bring with it increasing concerns about safety.

Elkay’s range of aquasafe, waterproof, electrical connectors are ideal for all applications where power has to be carried outside the home where the connector is exposed to adverse weather conditions. Whether the requirement is for a 240v ac or 12v dc installation there is a suitable aquasafe inline or bulkhead connector developed especially to suit the application. Where more than one connector is required dedicated weatherproof enclosures are available in 2, 3, 4 or 6 way switched, or 3 way unswitched versions. These are ideal for hot tub, sauna, swimming pool and larger lighting installations.
In use, the aquasafe connector is extremely convenient to supply power to garden lighting features, patio heaters, water pumps and any device requiring electrical power. When a particular device requires servicing, or if it has to be brought indoors during the winter months, it is simply unplugged from the connector. The exposed connector housing can be effectively sealed using the appropriate dedicated sealing cap, ensuring electrical safety.
Aquasafe electrical connectors afford safe, permanent, cost-effective and fully waterproof connection, with ease of installation and trouble free use. When fitted to water pumps they allow safe and easy removal for maintenance of water pumps with a simple, yet effective connection. In lighting installations, both above and below water, the connectors maintain system integrity.
An active latch mechanism accesses the inner connectors for quicker wiring and a highly reliable click latch system replaces the conventional approach of screwing two halves together. This not only makes assembly quicker, but the ‘O’ ring seal makes the system waterproof to a depth of 20 metres, with an ingress protection rating of IP68.
