EEIBA our industry charity is delighted that its tremendously supportive branch network across the UK has pulled out all the stops in producing a brilliant finish to 2007.
Each year, EEIBA Branches organise many events such as Christmas Lunches, Dinner Dances and Christmas Parties, as a means not only to offer an opportunity to the many EEIBA supporters across the country to celebrate the festive season with their colleagues, but to also to support EEIBA in raising much needed funds to continue to help those who for whatever reason have fallen upon difficult times.
And 2008 will be just as busy, with a calendar of fund-raising events, such as the Yorkshire Ridings Golf Day on 30 April at the championship Pannal Golf Club, Harrogate.
Times are always hard for those in need, many pensioners live alone and rely on neighbours or Social Services to provide their next meal, then there are those who EEIBA tries to help who have serious and life threatening illnesses, or have had major accidents or just a terrible run of bad luck.
EEIBA Chief Executive, Timothy Lambert says, “We are receiving more calls from people who need our help throughout the year, so I have been delighted with the way that our branch network has reacted in raising more much needed funds. However, it can’t stop there, the money we receive comes in and almost immediately goes out to help someone who needs it.
This year is without doubt going to be difficult. The financial pages are forecasting hard times and we know that the pressure will increase. But we also know that with your support we will get by and help a growing number of industry friends who will always be thankful.”
