Scotland’s construction and building services industries need almost 7,000 new recruits every year. This new campaign aims to utilise the knowledge and expertise of those already qualified to help the sectors’ newcomers get the most from their training and education.

The plan to recruit around 200 individuals as tutors, lecturers or trainers is being driven by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK) with support from several sector skills councils which includes SummitSkills, ConstructionSklills and Asset Skills.

All trades are in demand and SummitSkills is encouraging the sector’s skilled workers to share their knowledge and get involved in this exceptional opportunity.  Two-day training courses have been organised to give people registering an interest the opportunity to find out everything they need to know.

For more information email Holly Milne at LLUK or Ian Stirrat, SummitSkills’ operations manager for Scotland.
