EDF Energy has appointed Carillion Plc to carry out the £5 million site establishment contract at West Burton Power Station in Retford. Work is due to commence late January 2008 for five months and involves site clearance and the construction of development platforms prior to the construction of the new West Burton Power Station. Work will also involve the provision of roads, lighting and temporary accommodation over a three year period.
