Leading UK health and safety training consultancy OSTAS (Occupational Safety Training and Advisory Services) has chalked up a key milestone in its 10-year relationship with the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA).
The Warwickshire-based company has just successfully delivered a training course that included the 1,000th candidate from the Association.
And to mark the occasion OSTAS's general manager, Anne Gibbs, presented Gareth Bowden with a special certificate after he became the 1,000th ECA candidate to complete an OSTAS training course.
Gareth attended an all-day working at heights and asbestos awareness course at R.T. Harris and Son (Electrical Contractors) Ltd., of Oxford, where he has worked for 36 years.
"We are delighted to have trained so many people from the ECA over the last 10 years," said Anne. "We have held a wide variety of courses for the Association at venues all over the UK. I believe it's been a great working relationship for both parties.
"This milestone comes at a time when we have recently won significant new business including a major contract with the Ford Motor Company and a five-year contract to train staff from the Health and Safety Executive."
The ECA, founded over 100 years ago, is the UK's largest leading trade association representing electrical, electronic, installation engineering and building service companies.
In the past 12 months the ECA has organised over 2,000 man-days training for its members and 20 per cent of the training has been on health and safety issues.
