SummitSkills is working with Wigan Borough Council on training provision for the Regeneration Project, which aims to build 600 zero carbon emission houses and associated infrastructure at Bickershaw Colliery, on the edge of Leigh.

The former colliery is part of English Partnerships’ National Coalfields Programme to create new jobs, homes, leisure facilities and open space in former coalfield communities throughout England.

SummitSkills will be supporting the addition of appropriate training provision for emerging environmental technologies for the project and to support the North West region.
