Bats are endangered animals in the British Isles and are therefore protected by law. Furthermore they are all affected by artificial light at night time.



This guideline document will help any lighting professional to better appreciate the relationship between lighting and bats and help to ensure that lighting installations are as mutually beneficial as we can achieve.
