SummitSkills welcomes the appointment of Chris Humphries CBE as the new chief executive of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (CES).



SummitSkills already has strong links with Mr. Humphries through his roles within City & Guilds, UK Skills, WorldSkills and as a past guest speaker at the building services engineering National Training Awards.  This new appointment will further strengthen our close working relationship.

Responding to the announcement made today, Keith Marshall, chief executive of SummitSkills, said: "Appointing Chris is an excellent first step for the Commission.  In Chris we will have a leader for the CES who has long been dedicated to training and business enterprise.  We look forwrd to working with him to strengthen the employer-led focus to the education and skills system."
