I am very grateful to my colleagues at ECA for their encouragement and support."

City of London Livery Companies were originally Trade Associations, formed to regulate the various trades and crafts, and also guided the introduction and maintenance of quality standards and innovations. They brought together members in common fellowship (usually linked to a City church) and were much involved with education and charitable activities. The oldest, The Great Twelve, go back for around a thousand years. Their activities are now mostly confined to education, charity and fellowship, albeit The Lord Mayor of London is still elected by Common Hall - a body of representatives of the City's Livery Companies.
The Worshipful Company of Constructors is a modern Livery Company being some 30 years old and was founded to represent all the construction professions including architects, surveyors, engineers and builders etc.
Martin is married to Janet and has two children; Deborah, a senior paediatric nurse at Great Ormond Street, and Simon, a commercial property lawyer in London's West End.
