Question: My question is, what is the permissible maximum temperature rise for components inside switchgear, Acc.IEC, without using forced ventilation? Isn't is 65oC?

Answer: Our switches are fully rated at 40oC. For further temperature rises:

  • 50oC - derate by 10%.
  • 60oC - derate by 20%.
  • 70oC - derate by 40%.
